Our Nicaraguan coffee is very near and dear to our hearts. Our founder, Natalie, made her first sourcing trip to Finca los Pinos in 2013 when she started the company. Byron Corrales welcomed her into his home, as he eagerly showed her his growing techniques that he had learned from the four generations before him.
Finca los Pinos is a fully organic operation, utilizing many products made on their own farm.
As a family, the Corrales' work hard to convey the message that coffee production is an art that takes dedication and consideration of nature, their community and consumers. Coffee is part of their lives and has become the way they express their passion and craftsmanship to the world.
Additionally, Byron dedicates a large portion of his time to sharing his love and knowledge of organic coffee growing with other farmers so they too can produce a high quality and sustainable product.
Now, 8 years later since that first trip, we now offer two coffees from Finca los Pinos, both a natural and a washed process. We also stay in constant contact with Byron and his daughter Sara to stay in the know on how their farm and family are doing.
