Every winter a not-so-secret spot is descended upon by outdoor, uphill enthusiasts. Bear Canyon is a privately owned, old t-bar ski hill that is now trespassed upon all winter long for people to achieve their weekly uphill pursuit. Skin up and then ski down - the Bear Canyon Boogie is a Bozemanite's winter "M" lap. Graciously allowed to skied on by the owners of the land, we love this little hill and want to keep it going for years to come (like this new coffee!!) so please - drink this coffee, clean up after your dog when you boogie and as always, find your Treeline.
Managed by Asefa Dukamo Korma, this cooperative sits at an elevation of 2,200 m.a.s.l and is dedicated to producing Washed, Honey, and Natural coffees from more than 600 farmers.
For the Natural lot, the coffee is purchased from the farmers, hand-selected once it arrives at the site, and placed to dry in African beds, with constant movement to ensure an even drying. For the Washed lot, the coffee is de-pulped once it arrives at the site, wet fermented for 48-72 hours, washed, and later placed in African beds to dry for 8-12 days.
